ARRMA 1/8 TYPHON 223S RC Race Buggy RTR Overview
Get ready to experience the all-new ARRMA TYPHON! With significant upgrades to its design, the powerhouse buggy that has been the standard for 1/8 scale bashing now delivers performance and durability like never before.
Moving up to high-speed, brushless 1/8 scale buggy bashing is easy when you choose the TYPHON 223S BLX 4X4 Race Buggy. The TYPHON 223S BLX has everything you’re looking for - aggressive styling, ready-to-run simplicity, unmatched durability, and premium performance - all at a price you can afford.
ARRMA developed the 223S series especially for brushless bashing newcomers who want to grow from 2S to 3S power without adding expensive upgrades or buying a whole new vehicle. On a 2S LiPo the TYPHON 223S BLX reaches 35+ mph top speeds, matching or beating the best that other manufacturers’ 2S bashers can do. Whenever you’re ready, plug in a 3S battery. Now you can unleash the buggy’s full 50+ mph potential!
You control how fast your TYPHON 223S BLX can go by your choice of battery and where you set the throttle limiter on its included Spektrum SLT3 transmitter. With throttle limiting, the SLT3 automatically limits top speed to a level you prefer until you’re ready for it all. Set the throttle limiting switch to 50% or 75% and you’ll never have to worry about moving faster than you can safely manage. Make the transition from 2S to 3S speeds with absolute confidence.
The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) built into the buggy’s Spektrum electronics offers another big advantage. With four selectable modes, DSC will automatically correct steering input as needed to improve your control, confidence, and safety, whether you’re bashing on high-grip or low-grip surfaces. As you gain experience, just turn off the DSC and use the skills you’ve mastered.
The TYPHON 223S BLX is ready to give new and experienced brushless RC drivers amped-up performance right out of the box. Precision aluminium, tough steel and composite materials come together for an easy-to-maintain, super-durable buggy design whose high downforce wing and low centre of gravity, with wide arms and narrow wheels and tyres, improve handling over race tracks, trails, muddy courses, skate parks, and more. Off-road on dirt, gravel, or short grass is where the TYPHON 223S BLX performs best, but it’s also very capable as a speed run machine on pavement with street tyres.
All-metal diff outdrives and gearbox internals, plus durable composite slider driveshafts, contribute to a reliable, heavy-duty 4X4 drivetrain that holds up to extreme brushless bashing. The all-terrain suspension package and adjustable, oil-filled shocks mounted on composite shock towers soak up the bumps as the TYPHON 223S BLX blasts over dirt, asphalt and grass.
If you’re a racing buggy enthusiast who’s ready to try big brushless bashing, look no further than the 1/8 scale ARRMA TYPHON 223S BLX. Add your choice of battery and charger, and take your bashing skills to the next level.

2S & 3S READY
Don’t compromise on performance by choosing between a 2S or 3S capable brushless basher. The TYPHON 223S BLX buggy comes ready for both. Start with a 2S LiPo for powerful performance that matches or beats the best that other manufacturers’ 2S bashers can do. When ready, install a 3S battery for amped-up, pro-level 50+ mph bashing! The included SLT3 radio can automatically limit top speed to a comfortable level until you’re ready to unleash it all.
DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)
Another feature that makes the TYPHON 223S BLX buggy ideal for new brushless drivers is the Spektrum electronics’ Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). With four selectable modes, DSC will automatically apply steering corrections to improve your control, confidence, and safety, whether you’re bashing on high- or low-grip surfaces. As you gain experience, just turn off the DSC and use the skills you’ve learned.
SPEKTRUM 2.4GHz SLT3 TRANSMITTER
The high-quality Spektrum SLT3 3-channel transmitter is perfectly equipped for all drivers. Whether you’re using 2S or 3S power, it can help you learn control skills safely by limiting the buggy’s maximum available speed to 50% or 75% until you’re ready for it all. Four AA batteries included.
SPEKTRUM ELECTRONICS
Bash without worry, even in wet conditions. Both the Spektrum SLT 80A 2-in-1 brushless 2S/3S ESC and receiver unit and the Spektrum S662 metal-geared digital steering servo are waterproof. (For details on waterproof standards, refer to the TYPHON 223S BLX instruction manual.)
SUPER TOUGH TRANSMISSION
Factory assembled and installed, the heavy-duty, metal gear differentials send power from the Spektrum 3100Kv brushless motor to all four wheels for blasting through challenging terrain. The entyre power system is well-protected for dependable performance on all terrain.
ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION
The all-terrain independent suspension and oil-filled, coilover shocks soak up bumps. If your bashing takes you over uneven surfaces, you can adjust the ride height to increase ground clearance.
RACING BUGGY BODY
Adding to its exciting realism, the TYPHON 223S BLX racing buggy body is securely held in place by a hidden body retention system. The body is available in two bold, factory-finished colour scheme options and includes a high downforce, buggy style wing.
